City of Benton, EDC & Engineers meet wit

January 27, 2010-The City of Benton, Benton/West City EDC, HMG Engineering, CBB Engineers and USACE at Rend Lake sent representatives to meet with IDOT officials and FHWA official Chris Fraley at IDOT headquarters in Carbondale. Lorne Jackson of HMG and Shawn Leight and Dustin Reichmann of CBB along with Kevin Curran of Rend Lake provided an excellent power point presentation featuring a Preliminary Operational Analysis of the Interchange Project at I-57 and Petroff Rd. Mr. Fraley was very active in the meeting providing input and suggestions to be included in the final Operational Analysis. At this point, both engineering firms are preparing for our next meeting with FHWA in late February. Those in attendance left feeling good about the presentation and of the interest of Mr. Fraley. We are anxiously looking forward to our next opportunity to bring this project to fruition.
