If you own your home:
Come into city hall with a photo ID and proof of ownership to complete the Residential Water and Sewer Form. The Zoning Department will schedule a housing inspection (fee $20.00) and as soon as the house passes our inspection your water service will be turned on. This process usually takes 24 to 48 hours.

If you are renting a home or apartment or are purchasing a home by contract for deed:
Come into city hall and bring a $100.00 deposit, a photo ID, and a copy of the rent receipt or lease to complete the necessary forms. The water Department will then schedule an inspection of your unit (fee $20.00) and as soon as your apartment passes our inspection your water service will be turned on. This process usually takes 24 to 48 hours.
